Description

This position will review and advise on Industrial Hygiene (IH) programs by anticipating, identifying, and evaluating the installation's control and management of chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic health hazards such as hazardous materials, toxic chemical contaminants, asbestos, noise, inadequate ventilation, excessive heat or cold, etc. Recommend solutions for elimination, reduction or control of identified hazards. Apply and interpret Federal, and state regulations, standards and guidelines. Develop occupational and health hazard evaluation protocols. Provide training on conducting Occupational Hazard Assessments. Develop course of action to bring deficient IH programs into compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Review work plans, blueprints, specifications, and other documents on equipment, construction, or modification of facilities for compliance with applicable IH standards, codes and regulations.
